A new buffer

The buffer of the 218 series engine in the TEE paint scheme has broken off. The buffer is not fitted but die cast to the chassis. There is no spare part available.

First, I looked for an engine that could act as a spare parts donor. After cutting off the buffer and filing it, I solvent-welded the replacement buffer to the chassis. Then the buffer beam and the buffers had to be resprayed.
